Laos new year. Here old
capital is famous about water festival. So many foreigner and also
local came. Peak high season. Economy guesthouse totally full
booking, This hotel had only VIP room. They said 50 US$, but I got
discount. 2 small step at entrance. Perfect room. without breakfast.
I looked for accommodation more than 2 hours and visited more than
20 guest house and hotel. Some ground floor room around this area,
but not accessible at river side area because hilly and old.

When I went over China and
Laos border, I stayed at small town. There was a nice English
tourist information map at bus station. It showed all the guest
house with price in town. It really helped us. Many guest
house. Some room on ground floor at this guest house. Only shower. I
took shower sitting on western toilet. I thought clean and cheap,
but many mosquito and louse. Next day, I felt itchy in hand and
foot.

Long established guest
house. Full service for tourist, mini van, exchange, internet, tour.
Some room on ground floor. No step. I stayed at room number 202.
Only cold water shower. large room. Clean and cheap. So many guest
house in this tourist town.

Ex national highest hotel.
Typical communism government hotel style same as Russia. Very large
lot, nice pool, big bath room with bath tab, and nice breakfast.
Good cost performance. I can pay twice. Free airport transport by
car. Strongly recommend.
