5 days drive and 4 days conference / 2014 Autumn Canada drive by rental car which has a hand-controler. One lady traveled with me and shared hotels and car.
World famous Niagara falls. 90 min by car from Toronto. Easy to access.
Toronto downtown. St. Lawrence Market. Nice food here, but cheep plastic dishes. Generally we do not expect foods in Canada.
Tim Hortons is Canadian most favorite coffee fast food shop. Not many Mcdonalds in Canada.
Art Gallery of Ontario. Nice museum.
Metro and tram are public transportation in Toronto. Do not drive in downtown because of so much traffic. Not all the Metro stations are wheelchair accessible. A few lower floor tram run, but many have steps.
Ice hockey is a Canadian National sport. I bought the ticket of Ottawa Senators at the arena because they do not sell wheelchair seats on web. However there are plenty of wheelchair seats on 300 levels. The problem was toilet. Only 4 wheelchair large toilets on the floor. Normal toilets were on down stairs. Therefore many audience used wheelchair toilets.
Montreal Canadians' arena. I could buy the wheelchair seat on web. My seat had a big glass for safety reason... I do not like this over treatment. There were about 50 wheelchair seats and attendants. Compared with USA, the number of wheelchair seats are not small. On the other hand, the price of wheelchair seats were 1/3. The staff watched the game behind me.
Canadian plastic paper money have braille. Simple is the best.

Toronto is the host city of Pan American Games 2015. They designed 3% wheelchair seats. 5% mobility seating include enhanced seats. Everybody use wheelchair seats if no wheelchair comes. Shared seats for elderly and person who has difficulty of walking up and down stairs.
Button of door for wheelchair users. It is really helpfull.
Montreal, Quebec downtown. Many restaurants had steps at entrance. I was so sad. Please put a board or ramp.
Almost all the Montreal Metro stations were not wheelchair accessible. Buses are lower floor. Downtown buildings are connected with underground city because the winter is so cold. However it is not accessible. Hilly city is one of the reason why they have many stairs in underground city.
Montreal Cathedral. Nice church.
