5 days at Japanese friend house / 2013 My friend Kaori works in Medellin Colombia second largest city as a Japanese language teacher at university. Her room is on 4th floor without lift, so I stayed at her apartment owner house on the ground floor. I used teenager girl's room.
Kaori has free lesson of Japanese language and culture twice per month for Colombian local people at public library. I joined it and did my speech of wheelchair world travel. I was so happy many Colombian were interested in Japan. Some of them speak Japanese.
" Fernando Botero " is famous artist for pretty fat sculptures. He is from Medillin. Many Botero sculptures in central city. Visit here on day time only. Many drug junkie at night.
Today Medellin city is famous for public transportation system. Metro railway runs in city. Some stations have lifts or stairs liftts, but they were sometimes locked. Station guards with a rifle helped me. This ropeway is public transportation. We just need the same Metro ticket. It is frat and wheelchair accessible !
Metro Cabre runs over slam area. It changed poverty area. Good view from the mountain. Good view from the mountain.
Kaori likes sweet. Very nice coffee and chocolate in Colombia.
7 days / 2007 The first time visit to Colombia. When I arrived at Bogota airport from Lima Peru, both tires of my wheelchair had no air. The airline took off the air ! It was disaster. I must put the air on my wheelchair. Kind airport staff helped me to fix it. They bring my tires to a gas stand near the airport.
Colombia capital city Bogota seems nice. Good whether and cheerful people. There are many bike lanes in city. On Sunday many people enjoy cycling. I like bike lanes because it is flat road and easy to move on wheelchair.
Downtown sightseeing. Hilly city.
Lunch at a local restaurant. Soup, chicken, baked banana, beans, and rice.
I flied to Manizales, academic city in Andes mountains to meet my Japanese friend Kaori. She was a community teacher in poor area as a Japanese government official volunteer. Some children give up going school. She teaches basic education.
Two ladies are Kaori's co-workers. I think that Colombian lady is the most beautiful in the world. They are so sexy. Colombian men are also so sexy. My personal opinion, Vietnam lady is the best in Asia, Ukraine lady is the best in Europe, Lebanon lady is the best in Arab. Ethiopian lady is the best in Africa.
Another Kaori work is a social worker for youth group home who commit crimes. Kind of social rehabilitation house. They tried to do sex education. Many teenager girls pregnant and street children in poverty area. The average age for losing their virginity is in 12.7 years old. For me it was a great opportunity to talk with boys.
Manizales city is famous for coffee.
A wheelchair worker in central town. He is like a phone stand. Many disabled people sell lottery on street in south America.
Local lunch with students who study Japanese. Nice fish. Colombians always smile.

My 34th birth day was in Colombia. Kaori's host family celebrated me. Mucho Gracias.
