Japanese team were gathered in Wien and went to Olomuc by train. New train had no step but international train had some step. Our member helped me to enter. There were many accessible tram in Olomuc. I was very happy !
This is Czech wheelchair orienteering competition. Many wheelchair users came. Two category, Manual wheelchair and Electric wheelchair.
Accessible toilet there. Simple and useful.
I got a first place of manual wheelchair class. Good job !
Olomouc is a historical city. Also world orienteering competition was held.
The number of competitor World Trail Orienteering 2008 was 97 athletes. Paralympic class were 41 athletes. We choose a correct flag using a map and compass.
My score was good. 5th place of Paralympic class 2008. Here is ceremony. Paralympic class winner is Swedish man. Open class winner is German woman. Paralympic team winner is Lithuania. After the competition I visited Plague. There are few accessible tram in 2008. #14 and #22 lines are OK, but not all. I hope more accessible tram runs !
Using #22 tram, we can go to Prague castle. One per hour is accessible tram. I entered castle from north. Great cathedral. But many hill in the castle. Tough for wheelchair but possible. I went out of castle very slowly through a steep ramp.
Charles bridge is always busy by foreign tourist. Many performer, musician, painter, and souvenir shops.
