Only one tourist bus with a lift in Malaysia. About 20 wheelchairs used one bus. Therefore it took 25 minutes to get on off the bus. Many participants from 22 countries in the world joined the conference.

1st day dinner and party at civic center.

Toilet in civic center theater. They did not have a large toilet. There is a plastic chair with a toilet device. In emergency case, I must use this. Oh my goodness. I have never seen such an accessible facility.

Group photo on 2nd day. We hope to promote accessible tourism more.

Kind police ladies.

Malaysian local hand controller. Each country has each idea.

Typical Malaysian menu. Chicken and rice with sambel (small fish fermented source).

Food center on street. Satay is sweet chicken BBQ.

My favorite food is craypot chiken rice. The burned rice is so yummy.

4 members of Japan Accessible Tourism Center joined. Photo with local volunteer girls.

March on 4th day. 500 people joined. We walked 1km in the city for improvement of the accessibility.

Harley-Davidson bike riders protected us to walk on the road. It is cool.

Malaysian adapted 3 wheels motorbike. Each country has each idea.

Chinese newspaper next day.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Express train is wheelchair accessible. However no wheelchair space in trains. There are metro, trains and monorail in Kuala Lumpur, but many stations do not have lifts or ramp. It is still hard for wheelchairs to use public transportation.

10 days with friend and alone  / 1995

My first experience of beach resort. I enjoyed parasailing on the beach.

After 4 days stay in Penang island with a friend, I started to travel alone to capital Kuala Lumpur by bus. The bus driver gave me some food and drink when other passengers rest outside on the way.

Move to Melaka by bus. Visit Malaysian friend's house.

The bridge to Singapore. I tried to pass the bridge by walk. Not so long.

After 3 days in Singapore, I came back to Kuala Lumpur by night train. I met Japanese friend whose father worked in Malaysia. My younger days travel memory.
